Excel Export Limitations
PitchBook's academic license focuses on accessing data within their interface; users are limited to export a maximum of 10 records daily and 25 records a month
- One record = one row of data in the spreadsheet (may include company, deal fund data, or people data)
What happens if I exceed my limit?
If you reach your download limit, you'll receive an in-platform notification — but your access to PitchBook remains fully intact. You can continue using the platform; only the ability to download additional data is paused until your limits reset on the first of the month. Download limits are cumulative each calendar month and reset automatically on the first of each month. Unused downloads do not roll over.
PitchBook Data Scraping Policy
You must abide by PitchBook's data scraping policies or you risk losing access. PitchBook defines data scraping as using software, scripts, bots, browser extensions, or any automated tool to collect large amounts of data automatically.
